Event: United House of Prayer Parade

Date: Saturday May 23

Time: 12 pm – 3 pm

Location/Route: The parade will form at 6th & M Street and will proceed over the following route: North on 6th Street and S Street, West on S Street to 13th Street, South on 13th Street to Logan Circle. Southeast around Logan Circle to P Street, East on P Street to 7th Street, South on 7th Street to M Street, East on M Street to 6th Street where they will disband.

Lt. McCrae was a true hero who gave his life protecting the community in Shaw.  Our deepest sympathies to the Lieutenant’s family and the rest of Local 36.  The sad news:

May 6th, 2015 – Local 36 regrets to inform the membership of the line-of-duty death of Lt. Kevin McCrae, 6 Engine No.4 Platoon, while operating at a 2nd Alarm apartment fire at 1330 7th St. NW this morning. Our heartfelt sympathies go to Kevin’s wife, and daughter, and to his fellow members of 6 Engine & Truck 4. We are greatly diminished with Kevin’s passing.
